Specifically he focuses on looking to partner with start-ups who have innovative business models and value props which are of interest to different ENGIE business units. Nigel holds and Engineering degree from Trinity College Dublin and an MBA degree achieved in 2015 from INSEAD. Dr. Pasi Vainikka is co-founder and CEO at Solar Foods. Before that he led a strategic initiative Neo-Carbon Energy, the single-largest renewable energy research in Finland so far. Spin-off projects from it include Soletair pilot plant producing fuel from air, Neo-Carbon-Food concept for producing healthy protein from air and the wold’s first simulation for global 100% renewable electricity system the “Internet of Energy”. Dr Vainikka has held positions as a principal scientist in the strategic research management at VTT Technical research centre of Finland as well as in the management of VTT’s contract research in energy.

Mika has got strong track-record on tech sourcing for Venture Capital and Corporate investors and has also worked for the UN and the Government of Finland related to international climate negotiations focusing especially on market based policy instruments and scaling-up up of low-carbon technologies.
